THOMAS W. HOWARTH
Thomas W. Howarth, CA, a partner since 1976, has been employed by the firm since 1968.
He serves as an advisor to a large number of owner-managed businesses and professional
clients and is active in McCay, Duff & Company LLP's small business counseling group.
Mr. Howarth's specialties include business valuations, associations serving the broadcast
industry, succession planning and estate planning. Mr. Howarth is involved in a number
of charitable organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Patrick's Home. He

ALBERT G. MONSOUR
Albert Monsour, CA, a partner since 1979, has been employed with the firm since 1971. A
trusted provider of business advice to a large base of owner-managed entrepreneurial and professional
clients, he also supplies general accounting and taxation services to many organizations including
those in the not-for-profit sector. Mr. Monsour is a specialist in the restaurant and food industry
and delivers valued financial and restructuring advice through the firm's small business counseling group.

BLAIR E. DAVIDSON
Blair Davidson, CA, CFP, has been an employee of the firm since 1975 and became a partner in 1981.
Blair is currently the Managing Partner of the firm. His specialties include real estate development,
as well as providing accounting and auditing services to not-for-profit organizations and condominium
corporations. As a Certified Financial Planner, Mr. Davidson provides a high level of service to the
owner-managed businesses and professional clients in his practice, as well as being a resource for the
firm's Personal Financial Planning area. He is very active in community affairs including his church

G. WARREN TRICKEY
Warren Trickey, CA, has been employed with the firm since 1984, after ten years with a national accounting firm in
Toronto. A partner since 1986, he now serves as the firm's Tax partner, maintaining a high degree of expertise
in all areas of taxation. He is the firm's consultant for such specialized areas as corporate reorganizations,
tax shelter evaluations, financial, retirement and estate planning, U.S. personal income tax returns and the Goods
and Services Tax. In 2006, he was awarded the Trust & Estate Planning (TEP) designation by the Society of Trust and
Estate Practitioners. A frequent lecturer on tax issues for groups such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of

ROBERT D. SHANTZ
Robert Shantz, CA was first employed with the firm as a co-op student in 1977, joined full time in 1981 and
became a partner in 1988. Currently responsible for the firm's quality control function, Mr. Shantz also
contributes to McCay, Duff & Company LLP's annual professional development sessions. He is extensively involved
in the firm's not-for-profit and condominium specialty groups in addition to serving numerous small and medium-sized
businesses. Mr. Shantz shares his expertise with the community through his participation in a variety of

MARGARET N. EGAN
Margaret Egan, CA, CIM, worked at the firm as a co-op student in 1985 and joined McCay, Duff & Company LLP
full time upon her graduation in 1988. She was awarded her Canadian Investment Manager designation in 1998 and
became a partner in 2002. Ms. Egan has a client base ranging from owner-managed businesses and professionals to
not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Egan has trained in alternative dispute resolution techniques and is involved
in the firm's education programs to prepare accounting students for their Uniform Final Examinations. Marg
currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.

JASON HOWARTH
Jason Howarth, CA, was employed by McCay, Duff & Company LLP from 1993 to 1997. He obtained his CA designation
in 1996 and then spent several years as a staff CA and manager in a mid-size accounting firm in Toronto. He
returned to McCay, Duff and Company LLP in 2002 and joined the partnership on January 1, 2007. Jason's responsibilities
involve a variety of clients including owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit groups, personal and corporate tax,
as well as business valuations. Jason is a key member of our office software committee, a strong contributor to our
staff training program and is heavily involved in maintaining the quality of our office standards. He is currently
enrolled in the Chartered Business Valuators program of study and can be reached by email at

KAREN FREAKE
Karen Freake, CA, a partner since January 1, 2009 has been employed with the firm since 2003. She began her career
in 1990 with a national firm in Newfoundland and from 1992 to 2003 she ran her own practice. After moving to Ottawa,
Karen focused on providing accounting, auditing and taxation services to businesses, not-for-profit organizations and
condominium corporations. Karen is involved with her local Church community as well as a variety of children's recreational
sports programs. She has also served as secretary and treasurer of numerous charitable organizations including associations
